"caring for cats"
Feline Friends is a registered charity dedicated to relieving the suffering and distress of cats which are in need of care and attention, be it due to sickness, bad treatment, or poor circumstances. To this end we seek to assist the public in understanding more about the welfare needs of cats.
We do not compete for funding with other charities, and therefore we do not ask for donations. Feline Friends is financed solely by its Trustees, and indeed often assists other worthwhile feline charities towards achieving their goals.
We frequently sponsor and publish research into the ailments which afflict our feline companions; and the various treatments available to veterinary surgeons (and therefore cat owners) for relieving the suffering of our furry friends. We also hold free ‘Continued Professional Development’ (CPD) symposia for vets, and free internet webinars for both vets and cat owners.
The trustees of Feline Friends believe that we all still have a great deal to learn about our cats and their care and that far more research needs to be undertaken. We hope that veterinary surgeons, universities and colleges will help us in these endeavours and that we will be able to bring you greater insight into how we can endeavour to ensure that our feline friends lead full and healthy lives.
